


Here’s a hot-weather tropical mud-loving animal being helped by British animal lovers. Since 2011, rhino numbers have fallen critically close to extinction, so I’m really glad to hear that a new breeding program, similar to Club Med or a dating game, is being set up for these beautiful animals! Despite loving the mud so much, rhinos are notoriously reluctant to… well… get down and dirty. So female rhinos from UK zoos will soon be shipped off on holiday to Rwanda, and introduced to male rhinos in the wild. When pregnant, they will be brought back to their UK homes to give birth to baby rhinos here. Hopefully, in time, this will enable conservationists to increase the population of rhinos in the wild…
