I liked the music but have cancelled my Spotify account and will try out MusicYouTube instead.

Jupiter is truly massive! More than a tenth the diameter of the Sun, and more than 11 times the diameter of Earth. Despite being the largest of the “gas giant” planets, it is 320 times heavier than Earth. The Earth’s orbit in the Solar System is influenced by the gravitational pull of both Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter is the fastest planet! A Jovian day lasts only 10 hours. This rapid spinning of its atmosphere creates huge magnetic and radiation fields. As well as the famous Red Spot – a persistent anticyclonic storm, 15,000 miles across.

Jupiter has 67 named moons. The largest four were identified by the famous astrologer and astronomer Galileo Galilei in 1610. They are sometimes visible even with binoculars, and are called Io, Europa, Callisto, and Ganymede.

Ganymede is the largest satellite in our solar system. It is larger than Mercury and Pluto, and three-quarters the size of Mars.

The sunlight reflected from Saturn travels over a billion miles back to reach us on Earth, with a roundtrip time — at light speed — of three hours. At the moment of exactitude at 6pm Monday evening (London time), Jupiter will be less than one tenth of a degree away from Saturn. That’s from our sight line. The two giants of the solar system will remain nearly a billion kilometers apart from each other, Jupiter orbiting currently at about half the distance away of Saturn.

Two Fifths of Arctic Lost In Last 40 Years

This gorgeous picture of mother and daughter polar bears by wildlife photographer and Arsenal supporter Andy Rouse is featured in the London Sunday Times today. But official figures just released by the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre show that 37% of arctic ice has been lost between 1979 and 2019 (graph below)… …Anyone notice the weather being weird…? In my mother and daughter 2020s thriller books, the Hail the Queen saga (click below), the daughter sets up a ‘Blanka’s Arc’ on uninhabited islands to protect endangered animals.

The Enigma In Your Pocket

Soo amazing to see that the person who was the inspiration for my book series, Alan Turing, will now be the face of the new English £50 Bank note. It really shows how far we have come ⁠— From Turing being jailed and chemically castrated for being gay to him being in the pocket of many English citizens.

London Pride was amazing! So happy to be there! Everyone was so lovely, individual and enthusiastic, and it was such a massive turn out. So brilliant for organisations like Stonewall—this is such a lovely way to celebrate 50 years. Truly wonderful. My spies: Leila, Blanka, Bio and Nearby would be really excited to see so many people supporting the movement.
